The Nebraska Forest Service (NFS) provides education and services to the people of Nebraska to ensure the health and sustainability of our state's rural and community forest resources. Additionally, the NFS Wildland Fire Control Program provides fire protection and planning assistance to Volunteer Fire Districts throughout the state.
