An upcoming workshop in Seward will teach Nebraskans practical tree and windbreak care techniques—helping them strengthen and restore their landscapes after recent storms.

Nebraska Extension, the Upper Big Blue Natural Resources District, and the Nebraska Forest Service are partnering to host “After the Storm: Tree & Windbreak Care Workshop” at the Nebraska Extension in Seward County conference room, 322 S. 14th St., Seward.

This interactive workshop will help participants learn practical ways to improve the health, longevity, and storm resilience of their trees and windbreaks. Attendees will receive guidance on tree care basics, planning and maintaining windbreaks, and post-storm recovery. Participants may also submit photos of their trees or windbreaks with registration for personalized feedback from foresters during the session.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to better understand how to care for their trees—especially with Nebraska’s winter weather right around the corner,” said Benjamin Bohall, Public Information Officer for the Nebraska Forest Service. “Our goal is to help people strengthen their trees and windbreaks so they can continue to protect homes, farms, and communities for years to come.”

Registration is open through Nov. 19 HERE
