Tree care professionals and community forestry partners are invited to join the Virtual Tree Care Workshop on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 8:30–11:30 a.m. MST, held via Zoom. The half-day workshop will cover practical strategies for storm response, common pine pests and diseases, and how data and technology can support community forest management.
The morning begins with a session on storm damage, where presenters will share ways to reduce impacts to community forests and respond safely and effectively when trees are damaged by wind, snow, or ice. Next, participants will learn to identify and manage pests and diseases of pine, including fungal infections, insect pests, and other stress factors affecting tree health. The final session explores trees, data, and technology, highlighting the types of data used in urban forestry and introducing free tools that can help communities make informed management decisions.
NAA and ISA CEUs will be available. Registration is $20 per person.
